Dissolve Events

This is a tool that is located on the Data Cleaning section of the Edit tab.

Function

The Dissolve Events interface () allows the user to dissolve or merge coincident segments in the Roads & Highways event layers.

This interface hosts the Data Table dropdown control, alongside these controls:

Control	Used To...
Event Dropdown	Select the data item that will be used to dissolve events; all data items are also layers listed on the legend.
Route Types Checkboxes	Select which route types will be used when dissolving events. The Select All button can also be used to select all categories.
Exclude Non-Inventory Routes Checkbox	Specify if non-inventory routes will be excluded in the results.
Find Events Button	Find all events that have coincident segments.
Export to Excel Link	Export the information found to an Excel file.
Save Changes Button	Save the changes made in the interface.
Discard Changes Button	Discard any changes made to the interface.

The user will have the ability to dissolve events by following these steps:
