The ARNOLD Segments interface () provides options to generate Route outputs in Shapefile, File Geodatabase, or text file format. This interface can be accessed on the Submittals tab; it is the first icon in this tab, in the Section Files section.

Create

To create an ARNOLD Segments submittal file, follow these steps:

1. Select a data table in the "Data Table" picklist.
2. Select a file type: Shapefile, File Geodatabase, or Text File.
3. Select an option in the "Generate File(s) By" picklist.
   
   • If the user selects "All Routes", no additional selections must be made.
   • If the user selects "Route Type", they can choose from the five checkboxes-- Interstate, State, Inventory, Ramps, or New Construction-- to clarify the desired route. The user can select multiple options by selecting their checkboxes or the "Select All" link.
   • If the user selects "Select Route(s)", they can specify one or multiple routes. To specify a route, the user must enter a complete Route LRS, then select the "Add Route" button. The user can select multiple routes.
4. After selecting the desired options, click the "Export Data" button.
