After using the Create TOPS interface, the user can move on to utilize other interfaces in the Sample Adequacy tab. Split Sample by TOPS () is one available sample interface. This interface is used to find samples where the TOPS data items change along the sample and split them into multiple samples (disassociate) based on changes in the TOPS items.
Steps
To disassociate a section of sample based on the changes in TOPS items, follow these steps:
- Select a Year and Data Table in the picklists.
- Select the "Break on AADT Change" checkbox if desired.
- Select the "Check Samples" button to execute the Split Sample by TOPS function and populate the Data Grid based on the selections.
- Select the desired rows for disassociation by clicking their checkboxes. If the user wishes for all checkboxes to be selected, the checkbox in the header can be clicked.
- Select the "Save to Source" checkbox if desired.
- Select the "Save Changes" button to disassociate the marked segments and update the TOPS table.
