The Data Collection tab is the focal point for action-based work in the Inventory Manager application. This tab provides a way for users to create, edit, and prepare work packages for field use; once data is collected in the field, this tab provides the user with reviewing and publishing capabilities. This tab hosts a workflow which accomplishes these purposes. 

Workflow

There are five steps in the Data Collection tab workflow. Each step listed has a different icon on the tab. The list below gives a brief overview of the workflow; if the user wishes to learn more about the specific functions of the workflow icons, click here.

1. Create Work Package -- Generate a package.
2. Edit Work Package -- Edit the package content.
3. Upload Work Package -- Prepare a package for field use (mobile application).
4. Manage Work Package -- Manage a package.
5. Review and Publish -- Review and publish a package.
