This is a tool that is located on the Import section of the System Administration tab.

Function

The Import interface (AL HPMS Sample Import.png) allows the user to import raw sample data into the corresponding R&H Event tables. The user will also be able to view the results, errors, and warnings from the last import on this interface. The Import interface consists of 4 tabs: Import Tab, Results Summary Tab, Sample Errors Tab, and Route Warnings Tab.

Import Tab

Function

The Import tab allows the user to associate the raw sample data with the corresponding R&H Events. From here, the user will be able to save the current configuration and import the raw sample data into the event tables.

Sections

The Import Tab is divided into 5 sections:

  1. Tab Controls -- Allows the user to access the different Sample Import interfaces.
  2. Field Sample Data -- Allows the user to specify where the raw sample data can be found.
  3. R&H Sample Event -- Allows the user to specify where the registered R&H events can be found. 
  4. Import Table -- Allows the user to associate the raw sample data items to the corresponding R&H events; Field Sample Data and R&H Sample Event must be filled out first.
  5. Button Controls -- Allows the user certain one-click capabilities. 

Controls

The Import Tab displays Status icons, alongside these controls:

Control Section Used To...
Source Dropdown Field Sample Data Select the data source that contains the raw sample data table.
Table Dropdown Field Sample Data Specify the raw sample data table; must be filled after the Source Dropdown and before the remaining fields in this section.
Sample ID Dropdown Field Sample Data Pick which column in the raw sample data table represents the Sample ID.
Route ID Dropdown Field Sample Data Pick which column in the raw sample data table represents the Route ID.
From Measure Dropdown Field Sample Data Pick which column in the raw sample data table represents the From Measure.
To Measure Dropdown Field Sample Data Pick which column in the raw sample data table represents the To Measure.
Filters Textbox Field Sample Data Specify any SQL filters that should be applied when accessing data from the raw sample data table.
Source Dropdown R&H Sample Event Select the data source that contains the registered R&H events. 
Version Dropdown R&H Sample Event Select a version to use when accessing the R&H event data.
Sample Event Dropdown R&H Sample Event Select which R&H event contains the Sample IDs and the associated route segments. 
Sample ID Dropdown R&H Sample Event Select which field in the Sample Event represents the Sample ID.
Filters Textbox R&H Sample Event Specify any SQL filters that should be applied when accessing data from the registered R&H events.
Columns Import Table Edit the Item Name, Item Column, Event Name, and Event Column by clicking on the desired cell.
Add New Link Import Table Insert a row into the table.
Row Checkboxes Import Table Check the checkbox to select a row for deletion.
Import Column Import Table Import HPMS data items by clicking on the checkboxes in the Import column or by clicking the "Select All" link and clicking the Import Selected Button.
Import Selected Button Button Controls Start the import process with the data items that are selected.
Save Changes Button Button Controls Save changes that were made to the Import tab. 
Discard Changes Button Button Controls Discard changes that were made to the Import tab. 

Results Summary Tab

Function

The Results Summary tab allows the user to review the results of the last import process. The user can view the last import data and a summary of the import results grouped by event and Sample ID here.

Sections

The Results Summary Tab is divided into 2 sections:

  1. Results by Event -- Displays a breakdown of the import results based on the events specified in the Import tab. Each event listed will have the number of records that were successfully imported out of the number attempted to import.
  2. Results by Sample ID -- Displays a breakdown of the import results based on the raw data Sample IDs that were successfully matched with the R&H Sample ID. Each Sample ID will have the number of attributes that were successfully imported out of the number attempted to import.

Failed Event Import Link Results by Event Show where some of the records failed to import and provide a link to a Data Editing Interface.
Failed Sample IDs Import Link Results by Sample ID Show where attributes failed to import and provide a link to the Data Editing Interface.

Sample Errors Tab

Function

The Sample Errors tab allows the user to view information about samples found in the raw sample data that could not be matched with a sample in the R&H event or a sample ID that appears multiple times in the raw sample data.

Sections

The Sample Errors Tab is divided into 2 sections:

  1. Sample IDs with Multiple Matches in Field Samples Table -- Contains a list of Sample IDs that have multiple records in the raw data table. 
  2. Sample IDs with No Match in Event Table -- Contains a list of Sample IDs from the raw data table with no corresponding entry in the R&H Event. 

Clicking on the Sample ID in either section will bring up the Data Editing Interface.

Route Warnings Tab

Function

The Route Warnings tab contains a table that allows the user to view Samples where the route information in the raw sample data did not match the route information found in the R&H Event. For these Sample IDs, the import process will use the route information found in the R&H Event to add records to the event tables.

Table Columns

These columns are provided in the Route Warnings table:

  1. Sample ID -- The Sample ID that can be found in both R&H Event and raw samples data.
  2. Event Column -- Represents the R&H Event.
  3. Event Route ID -- The Route ID found in the R&H Event.
  4. Event From Measure -- The From Measure found in the R&H Event.
  5. Event To Measure -- The To Measure found in the R&H Event.
  6. Field Route ID -- The Route ID found in the raw sample data.
  7. Field From Measure -- The From Measure found in the raw sample data.
  8. Field To Measure -- The To Measure found in the raw sample data.
