The Main Menu is located beside the title of the application (EGIS Viewer).
Function
The Main Menu hosts seven functional areas upon first entry into the application. These areas allow the user to: (1) access quick search capabilities, (2) search for route locations, (3) manage and filter query criteria by business area, (4) open other viewing applications, (5) access reporting functions, (6) highlight Construction Bulletin Projects, and (7) log in to gain further access to the application. Each of these capabilities are matched to the menu items in the image below.
If the user logs in using the available button (#7), three additional items may appear on the Main Menu: Safety, System Administration, and Load Search.
| Item | Description |
| Safety | This picklist allows the user to query for crash data. It will appear between TSI and Viewers. |
| System Admin | This item allows the user to edit system administration, and it is only available to privileged users (i.e. users with System Admin. permissions). It will appear between Reports and "Show Construction Bulletin". |
| Load Search | This item allows the user to delete or load previously saved searches and reports. It will appear on the far-right end of the Main Menu. |
