The Raw Data Maintenance interface allows the user to view and maintain raw counter data for portable sites collected by hour and lane. To enter this interface, the user must click the Raw Data icon () in the Data Maintenance section of the Portable Sites tab. This interface is divided into three sections: Query Area, Station Area, and Results Area.
Query Area
The Query Area of the Raw Data interface appears at the top of the user's screen, and it allows the user to query for data. The user can query for information through two methods: Quick Search fields or More Filters link.
If the user chooses to query for information using the Quick Search fields, they can use the "County" and "Station" picklists. Once these fields are filled, the system will automatically update the "Date to Maintain" and "Date to Compare" fields. Then, the user can select a date in the "Date to Maintain" box to display the related results in the tables. A "Date to Compare" can also be selected if applicable which will update the table data. The user can change their date selections (Maintain/Compare) at any point by clicking on another date or clicking the "Previous" and "Next" buttons to go to the next stored date.
If the user chooses to query for information using the "More Filters" link, a pop-up will appear with other common location criteria. The user can fill as many fields as desired to specify the results; if a filter combination triggers no results, a message will appear at the top of the application to notify the user. Once all desired fields are filled, the user can select the "Find" button to find the related results. Then, they can scroll through the table and click on a row; to finalize the selection, the user can click the "Edit Selected" button to dismiss the pop-up and view the data on the Raw Data Maintenance screen.
Station Area
The Station Area section appears below the Query Area, and it allows users to view information about the currently selected portable site. This information will include Counter ID, Route ID, Description, Milepoint, and Segment. Above this information box, the user can also view the status of the data. There are four radio buttons available: Data Is Pending, Data Is Approved, Data is Rejected, and Recount is Needed. While these radio buttons can be edited, the remaining information in this section is view-only.
Results Area
The Results Area of the Raw Data interface appears below the Station Area, and it allows users to view the results of a query. This interface has two tables of information that relate to the Query fields. The left table can be used to view and maintain the raw hourly data from a selected station; this table corresponds to the "Data to Maintain" date. The right table can be used to view the raw hourly data from the same station collected on another date; this table corresponds to the "Data to Compare" date.
The Results Area is divided into tabs. There are four available tab types: Volume, Class, Speed, and Weight. These allow the user to switch between data types. These tabs are only visible if the corresponding type of data is available for the current site/date.
Controls
There are also some important controls offered on this interface:
| Control | Used To... |
| Repairs Link | View the needed repairs for a traffic site; if no repairs, this link will read "No Repairs." |
| Direction Report Link | Generate a Daily Volume Report by Direction for the traffic site. |
| Lane Report Link | Generate a Daily Volume Report by Lane for the traffic site. |
| Reverse Directions Link | Reverse all directions in the data; the system will make the user confirm their choice in a notification before reversing. |
Edit Counts
To edit counts on the Raw Data interface, the results data in the left table can be edited directly or estimated by the user. Data can only be edited if the selected portable site is in a pending state, indicated by the selected "Data Is Pending" radio button. If data is pending, the "Direction" and "Lane" reports will be disabled. For all other types-- Data is Accepted, Data is Rejected, and Recount is Needed-- the information on this interface will not be editable.
