There are several reporting options the user can run from the HPMS tab.
HPMS Site Collections
The HPMS Site Collection Report () can be used to view a list of sites and their collection information (County, Sample ID, Station #, Counter Type, and Last Date Collected). To generate this report, the user must choose a Collection Year and As of Date. Then, they can either view the report, "Open as PDF," or map the data.
Overlap Report
The Overlap Report () shows the user where errors of overlap occur; specifically, this report identifies sites that have overlapping To/From Measures. To generate this report, the user must choose a year. Then, they can choose an output format, either PDF or Excel.
Validation Reports
Prior to the submittal of HPMS traffic data to the ALDOT HPMS coordinator, several validation reports should be run to correct as many potential errors as possible. The reports are categorized into 3 types: Import (), Cross (
), and Coverage (
) Validations.
- Import Validation - To ensure that no data was incorrectly imported or edited outside the system.
- Cross Validation - To check for errors that occur when 2 or more attributes from different data sources do not follow HPMS guidelines.
- Coverage Validation - To check that all necessary traffic attributes have values for specific sections along a road.
All validation interfaces-- Import, Cross, and Coverage-- have the same setup. In the top box, the user can specify the location to check through the radio buttons and picklists, following this logic:
- To check all locations, the user must simply select the "Statewide" radio button.
- To check a specific location, the user must select the "Specific Location" radio button, then fill the County, Route Type, and Route Number picklists.
After specifying a location, the user can select the checkboxes by the validations they wish to run or choose to run all validations by clicking the "Select All" link. The user can open the validation report as a PDF or Excel sheet using the available button controls.
