When the user opens the Mobile application, they will see the Home tab and its three functional areas: (1) Application Tabs (2) Work Packages and (3) Notification Area. Each of these are shown in the image below, with corresponding numbers to the list above.
(1) Application Tabs
The Mobile application has 7 tabs: Home, Segments, Left/Right, Center, Left, Right, and Manage Package. The actions taken on the Home tab will determine the data located on the remaining tabs. The user must download and open a Work Package on the Home tab in order to fill the Segments Tab with data; if no Work Package is opened, the Segments tab will be blank with no control options.
(2) Work Packages
The Work Packages that reside on the Home tab are a direct result of the Data Collection process in the Office version of the ALDOT Inventory Manager. Once a Work Package is created and uploaded in the Office version, they will be available in the Mobile application on the Home tab. The Work Package boxes will show the package name, created date, status, and due date, alongside these controls:
| Control | Used To... |
| Open Button | Specify the Work Package used to collect/view data on the other tabs; can only be used after the "Download" function is complete. |
| Download Button | Download the data from the Work Package into the Mobile application; the download button will turn gray once the package has been successfully downloaded. |
| Delete Button | Delete the Work Package. |
(3) Notification Area
The Notification Area shows downloading messages after the Download button is clicked. This area will notify users if the Work Package is successfully downloaded or unable to be opened.
Refresh List
If a user recently uploaded a Work Package on the Office application while the Mobile application was open on their device, the package may not appear on the Home tab. The user will need to refresh the list of Work Packages for it to reflect the most recent data. To do this, the user can scroll to the top of the Work Packages list and click the "Refresh List" button. This button will resemble the image below.
