The Manage Package tab is used to check and update the status of each segment in the work package. While segments in the package can be marked as "complete" in the Data Collection tabs (Left/Right, Center, Left, and Right) through the Complete button, the user will be redirected to the Manage Package tab to complete the validation and submission process. If the user wishes, they can also mark a segment as complete in the Manage Package tab instead of in the Data Collection tabs.
Look
The image below shows the layout of the Manage Package tab. This tab is composed of a table and Notification Area.
Table
The table on the Manage Package tab shows important information about each segment's status in the Work Package. The table displays the:
| Table Column | Description |
| Segment | Lists the name and mile point range of the segment. |
| Target Date | Lists the date when the data should be collected. |
| Status | Lists the current status of the data (Not Started, In Progress, Complete, Validated, or Submitted). |
| Status Date | Lists the date when the current status was set. |
| Action | Allows users to change the status of the segment once data has been collected. |
Actions
There are three available actions for segments in the Manage Package tab. These actions change the status of the segments in the Work Package. The order listed below is the same order by which they appear on the interface.
- Complete -- Allows the user to indicate that they are satisfied with the data collected for the segment.
- Validate -- Allows the user to check for validation errors in the collected data.
- Submit -- Submits the collected data for the segment.
Notification Area
If the validate or submit button is clicked, the blank space on the right side of the screen-- the Notification Area-- will display an associated message. The validate button's message shows the amount of validation errors found in the segment's data. The submit button's message indicates that the segment is being processed for submission. An example of these messages is shown below.
