This is a tool that is located on the Configuration section of the System Administration tab.
Function
The Data Source interface () is used to edit data sources using the dropdown control and to add data sources using the Add New button. HPMS Manager supports multiple data source types. The Connection Parameters section of the interface will reflect relevant information for the selected data source type (File, Database (SQL Server or Oracle), Web Service, and Map Service).
Controls
This interface hosts the following controls:

| Add New Button | Static Control | Add data sources. |
| Data Source Type Dropdown | Static Control | Select the data source type. |
| Shortcut Textbox | Static Control | Specify a shortcut for the data source. |
| Verify Source Button | Static Control | Verify the database entry. |
| Delete Source Button | Static Control | Delete the selected data source. |
| Save Changes Button | Static Control | Save changes to the selected data source and loaded or reloaded files. |
| Discard Changes Button | Static Control | Discard changes temporarily applied to the selected data source. |
| Show/Add Files Button | File Data Source | Open the Files Found interface to view the files located in the selected file share. |
| Select All to Delete Link | File Data Source | Select all files for deletion. |
| Select All to Load/Reload Link | File Data Source | Select all files to be loaded/reloaded into the database. |
| View Log Link | File Data Source | View details from the last files loaded for the selected data source. |
| Files Found Interface | File Data Source | Select the files to add to the data source, upload more files to the file share, or open existing files in the file share; appears after clicking the “Show/Add Files” button. |
| Server Textbox | Database Data Source (SQL Server or Oracle) | Enter the name of the server when connecting to the data source. |
| Username Textbox | Database Data Source (SQL Server or Oracle) | Enter the database username when connecting to the data source. |
| Password Textbox | Database Data Source (SQL Server or Oracle) | Enter the database password when connecting to the data source. |
| Database Textbox | Database Data Source (SQL Server or Oracle) | Enter the name of the database that is to be accessed by the data source. |
| Service Directory Textbox | Web Service Data Source and Map Service Data Source | Enter the URL of the map server. |
| Service Textbox/Dropdown | Web Service Data Source and Map Service Data Source | Enter the name of the map service. |
| Service Type Textbox | Map Service Data Source | Enter the type of service (MapServer, FeatureServer, etc.). |
| Include in Map Legend Checkbox | Map Service Data Source | Include events in the selected map service in the map legend. |
