The Edit/Delete Turning Movement interface allows the user to search for multiple Turning Movements and batch edit or delete them. In this interface, the user can map TMs, add/edit/delete stations, manage associated documents, delete the TM, and view the schedule.
Filter
Before taking any actions on this interface, the user must choose a value in the "Select Year" picklist. Then, a list of TM projects will be displayed in the table below. To further filter this table of projects, the other filters (County and Description) can be filled if desired; these are optional. A County selection will automatically update the table, but the "Find" button must be used if the Description filter is filled.
A TM project row can be selected to display its Turning Movements in the section below. The arrow buttons at the bottom right of the interface allow the user to scroll between turning movements for a single project. The user can also now map TMs, add/edit/delete stations, manage associated documents, delete the TM, and view the schedule.
Map
To map the currently displayed TM, the user can select the "Map" link which is located at the bottom of the interface. The user will not automatically be zoomed to the mapped items, but they can navigate through the Map Frame to find this mapped information.
Edit & Delete Stations
Each station associated to the project will be listed in a table and will have three links: Show, Edit, and Delete. The "Show" link opens the Turning Movement Site Counter Maintenance interface for the station. On this interface, the user can view the station's information and edit the available fields if desired. The "Edit" link opens the Stations Location Change pop-up. The user can utilize the icons, picklists, or textboxes to edit the location data. The "Delete" link removes this station from the Turning Movement project. Once this link is selected, a message will appear that asks the user to confirm this action before permanently deleting the station and any associated raw data.
Add Station
To add a new station, the user can click the "Add Station" button beside the Stations table. This will trigger the appearance of the "Add Station" interface which allows the user to input information on a new station associated to the Turning Movement project. Only the "Year" and second "Type" fields will be editable when the user first enters this interface. The other fields will be enabled as information is inputted. It follows this logic:
- An inputted Type value enables the County picklist.
- An inputted County value enables the first Route # picklist.
- An inputted Route # Type enables the second Route # picklist.
- An inputted Route # enables the Direction and From Measure fields.
- An inputted Direction and From Measure enables the To Measure field.
- An inputted To Measure enables the Counter Location field.
Alternatively, the user can utilize the Route, From Measure, To Measure, and Counter Location icons () after choosing a year and type to interactively select station information from the map. A map selection using the Route icon will fill the County, Route #, and Direction fields.
Documents
Documents can be associated to a TM project in the Traffic Data Manager system. To view these documents, the user can click the "Documents" link which is located at the bottom of the interface. Then, the TM project's current documents will be shown in a table on a pop-up, listing the File, Description, Updated By, and Updated On information for each document row. The "Add Document" link on this pop-up allows more documents to be associated to the project; when selected, the user can enter a description and choose a document from their File Explorer. On the other hand, the user can delete a document by selecting the checkbox on its table row, then the "Delete Selected" link.
Delete TM
The "Delete TM" button is conveniently located on this interface to allow for the removal of a Turning Movement (TM) from a project. To delete an entire project, not just a TM from the project, the user must go to the Edit/Delete interface under the Turning Movements Projects section.
View Schedule
The "View Schedule" link opens a pop-up which lists the projects scheduled for each month of the selected year. On this interface, users can add a new project to the schedule, edit a scheduled project's details, or delete a scheduled project. The "Year" picklist which determines the listed projects can be used to change the year at any point while viewing this interface.
