The Counts interface allows the user to import data one folder at a time. Once a folder has been processed, all data that has passed validation will automatically be considered approved and will be added to the system. To enter this interface, the user must click the Counts icon () in the Import section of the Permanent Sites tab.
Import a Folder
To import a folder, the user can select the three dots button (...) to browse for a folder. The user will only see one folder at first when they enter the system; this folder can be expanded to view its subfolders. Once a subfolder is chosen, the "Select" button can be clicked to place that folder in the Import Directory field. The number of files to be imported from the chosen folder will be displayed next to the import button. Then, the "Import" button can be selected to trigger the import process for all files in the selected folder. After the import is complete, all files that were successfully imported will be moved to a subfolder named Imported, which will be automatically created if it does not already exist.
Errors
Any counter having data that did not pass validation will be listed in the tables on the interface. The Fatal Errors table (top) will list all files that were not imported, and the Validation Errors table (bottom) will list all issues with the importing process. These tables have some controls which help the user handle these issues:
| Control | Used To... |
| View Button | View the file that was not imported. |
| Delete Selected Link | Delete a file from the Fatal Errors table by clicking its checkbox, then this link. |
| Edit Button | Edit the raw data to pass validation and be accepted into the system. |
