The Validation Errors interface will catch all the Validation Errors identified in the Permanent Counts interface. A validation error occurs when a rule is violated. Unlike fatal errors, a validation error does not prevent data from being imported; instead, a validation error is simply displayed for each data item violating a rule to allow the data to be corrected. If the Counts interface is closed, this will be the only access point for this data. This interface will serve as a log with detailed information about what issues occurred during the import process.
This interface is used to deal with any remaining errors that were not handled during the original import session in the Counts interface. Every data item that does not pass a validation rule will be logged here so that the user can either attempt to correct the data or reject all of the data collected for a counter on a specific day. If the user wishes, they can filter this interface using its six fields to specify which errors are displayed. Once the desired filters are filled, the user can click the "Find" button to fill the table with the related results; the user can also click the "Reset Filters" button at any point to clear the filter selections. If no search criteria have been entered, all permanent site errors remaining in the system will be displayed.
If the user wishes to edit the raw data to pass validation and be accepted into the system, they can select the "Edit" button. This will give the user editing capabilities for the listed errors.
